More than 15 terrorists are killed by NAF airstrikes in Borno.

According to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), over 15 terrorists were killed in Borno State by airstrikes conducted as part of Operation Hadin Kai.

The mission was carried out on September 3, 2025, according to a statement released by NAF spokesman Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.

Ejodame claims that the operation was carried out in response to reliable intelligence and surveillance that identified a recently discovered terrorist enclave in the Sambisa general area, west of Zuwa.

The statement said, “The hideouts harboring fighters and commanders responsible for recent hostilities around Bitta were struck by a well-planned and executed air interdiction mission.”

He went on to say that the strikes destroyed important buildings that were essential to the terrorists’ operations, making it impossible for them to carry out more attacks.

Ejodame also emphasized that the effective air interdiction helps ground forces in their joint counterterrorism operations to break up terrorist networks in the Northeast.
