The warnings from France, Canada, and the United Kingdom (UK) against a full military occupation of Gaza have been disregarded by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a joint statement on Monday, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, French President Emmanuel Macron, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that they would oppose any full military occupation of Gaza, according to Naija News.
They issued the warning in response to Netanyahu’s announcement on Sunday that the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) would fully occupy Gaza until Hamas freed all of the hostages from the October 7 attack.
Reacting to the threats from France, UK and Canada, Netanyahu stated that the leaders, by their joint statement, were offering a huge prize for the attack on Israel by Hamas.
According to the Israeli prime minister, if Hamas disarms and frees all captives, the war will be over.
Netanyahu went on to say that Israel cannot be prevented from taking all legal means to defend its people and territory by France, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
It stated: “The leaders in London, Ottowa, and Paris are offering a huge prize for the genocidal attack on Israel on October 7 while inviting more such atrocities by asking Israel to end a defensive war for our survival before Hamas terrorists on our border are destroyed and by demanding a Palestinian state.”
On October 7, Palestinian terrorists broke over our borders, killed 1,200 innocent people, and kidnapped over 250 more to take them to the dungeons of Gaza, sparking the start of the conflict.
Israel accepts President Trump’s vision and urges all European leaders to do the same. The war can end tomorrow if the remaining hostages are released, Hamas lays down its arms, its murderous leaders are exiled and Gaza is demilitarized. No nation can be expected to accept anything less and Israel certainly wont.
