Kwara State Commissioner of Police (CP), Adekimi Ojo, has instructed 142 new police constables to uphold professionalism and respect for human rights as they begin their service.
The constables, who completed six months of rigorous training at the Police Training School, Ilorin, were charged by CP Ojo to demonstrate integrity, discipline, and strict adherence to the rule of law in all their duties. The Commissioner stressed that discipline is fundamental to the Nigeria Police Force and warned them to avoid corrupt practices and operate according to international best standards.
CP Ojo thanked the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for his intelligence-led policing approach and for supporting a conducive training environment. He also acknowledged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his continuous support to the command.
Following their passing-out ceremony on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the new constables will undergo an additional two-week comprehensive intelligence operations program starting October 26, 2025. After completing this specialized training, they will be deployed to their respective Local Government Areas across the state to boost field operations and analytical capabilities.
