In Ibadan, the state capital, the Oyo State authorities dismantled a structure that was purportedly used to store weapons.
On Tuesday, the demolition was completed.
The home building was allegedly used to store a significant amount of firearms and ammunition.
According to information obtained by , the demolished property included two bungalows and a one-story house inside a walled compound.
The structure is situated off Olodo Garage in the Gbenku neighborhood on Arubiewe Road in Ibadan.The suspected weapons cache was discovered by security personnel during an ongoing inquiry, according to Mojeed Mogbonjubola, Commissioner for Public Works and Transportation.
He said that the destruction was done on Governor Seyi Makinde’s orders, demonstrating the administration’s will to fight crime and insecurity in Oyo State.
According to the DAILY POST, the demolition is taking place a few days after the state government destroyed a structure that was involved in the kidnapping of Adebayo Adelabu’s sister and her twins.
