Nigeria exported agricultural products worth N1.7 trillion and recorded foreign trade of N36 trillion in Q1, according to the NBS

In the first quarter of 2025, Nigeria’s total trade with foreign nations amounted to N36 trillion.

A report from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) indicated that Nigeria’s exports were valued at N20.598 trillion, while its imports amounted to N15.426 trillion.
According to the report, the country achieved a surplus of N5.172tr during the quarter.
It noted that Nigeria’s exports were primarily driven by crude oil sales amounting to N12.955 trillion, while agricultural products accounted for exports worth N1.74 trillion, with cocoa beans being the top-selling commodity.
