In a statement on X, he argued that the actions constituted a violation of national sovereignty, suggesting the current administration under Bola Ahmed Tinubu was bypassed or uninformed despite their claims of a joint effort. Sowore further criticized the U.S. President’s motivations, claiming the strikes on a Sokoto village demonstrate a lack of genuine concern for Nigerians.
