After the Super Falcons defeated Tunisia 3-0, goalie Chiamaka Nnadozie couldn’t contain her delight, according to the DAILY POST.
Since Ghana hosted the 2016 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, it was the first time the Super Falcons had won their opening match.
The defense held the Tunisians at bay, therefore Nnadozie was hardly put to the test during the match.
The Brighton stopper, however, impressed with her impressive ball distribution.
The 24-year-old also praised the Tunisians for putting up a good display in the game.
“I feel so good, it was a good one, a good beginning for us,” Nnadozie said after the game.
“The Tunisians are not a bad side, we respect them so much, they played a very good game but today (Sunday) was for us and we hope to continue like this.”
The encounter against Tunisia was Nnadozie’s 22nd for the Super Falcons.
She is expected to keep her position in goal when the Super Falcons take on Botswana in their second group game on Wednesday
