Former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, Sam Amadi, has cautioned against personal hatred for President Bola Tinubu.
Amadi urged critics to instead focus on Tinubu’s politics and policies.
In a post on X on Tuesday, Amadi said there was no point demonizing Tinubu as an individual only to replace him with someone equally flawed in governance.He noted that the same mistake was made during the opposition against former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Amadi emphasized that opposing Tinubu’s political approach and advocating for a leader who is essentially different from him is the right thing to do.
“There is no point in detesting Tinubu as a person and bringing someone as terrible in politics and governance as he is,” he stated. Our action against @GEJonathan was that. Disapprove of Tinubu’s policies and politics and replace him with someone completely different. That’s what’s honest and reasonable.
