Chioma Olise, a midfielder for Trabzonspor’s women’s team, has expressed affection and respect for Paul Onuachu, a player from her own Nigeria who plays for the men’s team.

The former Edo Queens player signed a contract with Trabzonspor through June 30, 2027, after moving there in February 2025.

Onuachu has scored 24 goals in 30 appearances so far this season while playing for Trabzonspor.

But since recovering from a muscle ailment that prevented him from playing against Alanyaspor, he hasn’t scored in his last three games.

With 22 goals—two more than his nearest rival, Eldor Shomurodov of Basaksehir FK—the Nigerian player is presently vying for the Super Lig Golden Boot.Olise commended the gifted forward and stated that Nigerians are proud of Onuachu’s accomplishments in an interview with Anadolu Agency regarding her time in Turkiye.
