According to the DAILY POST, Prince Seun Adelore, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State’s Ibadan North Local Government Area, has resigned.
According to Adelore, his resignation will go into force on July 7, 2025.
He mentioned that he quit his job because of what he said was intimidation and imposition.
A few weeks prior to the bye-election to fill the vacancy for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency seat, Adelore resigned, according to information obtained by DAILY POST.
According to information obtained by DAILY POST, Hon. Musliudeen Olaide Akinremi, the seat’s previous occupant, passed away last year.
On the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Akinremi was elected to his second term in office.
According to our source, a few days ago, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared that a bye-election would be held in August to replace the vacancy.

Adelore noted what he called “deep-seated injustice within the party” in his resignation letter to the chairman of the Oyo State PDP.

The former PDP chairman insisted that he had lengthy discussions with his supporters and political associates before deciding to leave the party.
According to Adelore’s statement, which DAILY POST was able to receive on Monday, he is no longer the chairman of the local government area’s political party.
“With effect from July 7, 2025, I hereby formally submit my resignation as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibadan North Local Government,” he stated. Additionally, I hereby revoke my party membership.
