Players Get a 2-Match Ultimatum from the Bayelsa United Technical Staff

The administration of Bayelsa United has issued players and coaches a two-game ultimatum to start winning games or face severe repercussions due to the team’s dismal performance in the current Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The ultimatum will begin with this weekend’s match against Warri Wolves at Delta State University Stadium in Ozoro, Delta State, and the home game against Plateau United on October 31, 2025, according to Bayelsa United Chairman Dr. Tarilaye Nwankwe, who made the announcement during an emergency meeting with coaches and players on Wednesday (yesterday). He made it clear that moving forward, the management will not tolerate such poor performance.Nwankwe stated that the team’s recent poor performances, especially last Sunday’s devastating home loss to newly promoted Kun Khalifat, made the ultimatum necessary.
