In order to elect party officials, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) chapter in Kano State has postponed its scheduled state congress.
Adam Said Adam, Director-General of Social Media for the NDC in Kano State, signed a statement stating this.
According to the announcement, the party’s State Chairman, Hon. Husaini Isah Mai Riga, gave an explanation for the decision, stating that a recent influx of well-known political leaders into the party made the postponement unavoidable.
In order to adequately accommodate newcomers and make sufficient arrangements for a seamless and inclusive conference, Mai Riga pointed out that the development required more time.He stated that after all essential preparations were completed, a new date for the conference will be announced.
