According to Arise Television presenter Rufai Oseni, Mr. Peter Obi, a previous presidential candidate for the Labour Party, is still the only opposition leader who can effectively fight President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
Oseni made this claim on Monday when discussing new political alliances in front of the upcoming general election on Arise Television’s The Morning Show.
He claims that the Nigeria Democratic Congress, or NDC, may soon face internal and legal problems as a result of its recent growth.He further said that efforts are being made in political circles to keep Obi from running for office in 2027.
He claims that Obi is seen as the sole contender who can really challenge Tinubu in the election based on political mapping by key parties.
“I think it’s going to be the beginning of more troubles for the NDC because the litigations will begin,” he stated. the legal actions pertaining to the NDC’s registration.
As you can see, the concept here is that Peter Obi won’t be on the ballot, therefore it will start. That’s the issue. Every effort will be made to prevent Obi from appearing on the ballot.
I do a lot of political mapping, and I know people that do it as well. The ADC, APC, and every political party have done political mapping. Obi is the sole candidate who can help President Tinubu win this election.
Making ensuring Obi doesn’t appear on the ballot is the first tactic. That alone was the cause of the ADC problem.
Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, have joined the NDC, according to the DAILY POST.
At the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Sunday night, the two were formally welcomed into the organization by its national head, Seriake Dickson, along with other high-ranking officials and supporters.
