Eze-Nwalie Nwogu, a Nigerian socialite and businessman who goes by Pretty Mike, has come out to disclose that two housekeepers sexually molested him as a child.
He clarified that the molestation caused him to lose his virginity at the age of 13.
In a recent episode of the podcast In The Company Of Men, Pretty Mike encouraged parents to give their male children the same amount of attention as they offer their feminine ones.
“Men have been encouraged to come out to talk about sexual abuse and being sexually exploited at a young age,” he said.
“I lost my virginity at 13 to my housemaid. Not even one, but two. Did that change my orientation about sex? Yes. Am I coming out to report it to say that something negative happened to me? I think I have decided to let it go, especially at that age. Nowadays, 13 can even be seen as an adult sometimes.
“It is absolutely no for those who were exploited at 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 because they were unaware of it.” I constantly advise parents to focus on their children, both boys and girls alike.
“Because I’ve come to realize that when parents hire domestic helpers, they always take into account their female children, but what about the male child? All of them are young. A double standard shouldn’t exist. Watch out for your children and ensure that neither the male nor the female are exploited.
