Real Madrid has responded to the passing of Jose Emilio Santamaria, the club’s legend.
The Los Blancos expressed their sympathies and love to Jose Santamaria’s wife, Nora, and his kids in a message posted on their website on Wednesday.
Jose Santamaria passed away at the age of 96, according to the DAILY POST.
The statement from Real Madrid said, “Real Madrid C. F., its president, and its Board of Directors deeply regret the passing of José Emilio Santamaría, one of the greatest legends of our club and world football.”
“To his wife Nora, his children Nelson, Nora, Beatriz, José, Silvia, and Javier, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all his family, teammates, and loved ones, Real Madrid wishes to offer its condolences and affection.”After nine seasons at Real Madrid, Jose Santamaria won four European Cups, one Intercontinental Cup, six La Liga crowns, and one Spanish Cup in 337 games.
