Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State, has urged citizens of Abia to participate in the ongoing continuous voter registration drive.
During a church service at Salvation Ministries, Aba, on Sunday, Otti made the call.
He reminded the Abia people that not casting a ballot or being reluctant to do so essentially amounts to choosing the wrong candidate.
You have chosen the wrong candidate if you abstain from voting or avoid doing so during an election. Governor Otti stated
He expressed gratitude to the Salvation Ministries members and other Abia citizens for their support of his government.
In a similar vein, South East residents have been urged by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara to make sure they are registered in the ongoing continuous voter registration. In order to properly guide the populace, Wabara, the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, or BoT, advised political leaders and other community leaders in the South East to launch a serious sensitization campaign.
He scowled at how few people had registered in the South East thus far.
In order to increase voter confidence and fortify Nigeria’s electoral system, the former Senate President also advocated for electoral reforms that might require the electronic transmission of results prior to the 2027 elections.
