When the ATP rankings are released on Monday, Sinner will have returned to the top of men’s tennis thanks to his first Paris title and the early elimination of Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, the current world No. 1 in the sport.In June of last year, the Italian took the top spot, a position he maintained for 65 weeks until losing to Alcaraz in the US Open championship match in September.
