The family, friends, and coworkers of Ms. Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, a news anchor and producer with Arise News Television, have received condolences from CP Ajao S. Adewale, Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command.
The TV host tragically died Monday in an armed robbery at her home in the Katampe neighborhood of Abuja, according to BASEMEDIA.
The CP called the incident a “cruel and senseless act that has no place in a sane society” in a statement released on Tuesday by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer.
The command is still totally dedicated to making sure that justice is done, the CP promised.
The statement claims that the Commissioner of Police has already directed a thorough and covert investigation to determine the incident’s circumstances.
He also oversaw the use of operational and intelligence resources to find and apprehend the suspects in this horrible crime.
He asked citizens of the nation’s capital to assist the police with their ongoing investigations by giving them accurate and timely information.In an effort to eradicate “criminal elements in our society,” the CP also urged all residents of the Federal Capital Territory to always make sure that they promptly raise an alarm in any suspicious situation.
