Remo Stars defeated El-Kanemi Warriors 2-1 on Monday night in Abeokuta to snap their three-game losing streak in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). After the victory, Daniel Ogunmodede’s team was no longer in the relegation zone. When Jonas Emmanuel scored the first goal in the 58th minute, El-Kanemi Warriors startled the home crowd. However, Victor Mbaoma and Michael Ibe’s two late goals gave Remo Stars the victory. Rivers United defeated Kun Khalifat 1-0 in Owerri to take fourth spot in the league standings. Finidi George’s team won their second game away from home this year. At the New Jos Stadium, Plateau United defeated Bendel Insurance 1-0 thanks to a goal from Saka Gafar.
