Meremu Okara, the head coach of Bayelsa United, has attributed his team’s loss against Kun Khalifat FC to the Samson Siasia Stadium’s damp field. Kun Khalifat FC defeated the Prosperity Boys 2-1 at home in Yenagoa on Sunday. According to Okara, the modest side’s loss was regrettable. In a post-match interview, Okara said, “It’s really tough, this wasn’t what we negotiated for, and I think the wet pitch didn’t help matters.” We just must keep kicking, but they were stronger in our defense from the air. Sadly, we only managed to score one goal while they scored two, which was a bitter pill to chew. With 11 points, the former League Cup champions fell to 13th place in the NPFL standings.
