According to Jose Mourinho, the manager of Benfica, the team must earn at least 11 points in order to advance to the next round of the Champions League. Following Tuesday night’s 3-0 loss to Newcastle, Mourinho was addressing media. After losing 1-0 to Chelsea in the previous round of games, it was Benfica’s second straight loss under the Portuguese manager. Mourinho’s current goal is to gain points in their next home games. The first half of the performance was good. Playing the way we did in the first half, creating four big chances, hitting the post, and being the team that, in my perspective, was closest to winning, is not something that is easily accomplished.
