SPORTUCL: PSG and Liverpool players’ reactions to the 2-0 outcome

Following their first-leg match in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal on Wednesday, a few Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool players responded.

In Paris, PSG defeated Liverpool 2-0 thanks to goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué.

The return leg between the Parisians and the Premier League heavyweights will take place at Anfield next week.

Kvaratskhelia responded to the match by telling Canal+, “We had the chances to score more, and we should have.” We gave a strong performance. The atmosphere at Anfield will be amazing, so we must stay focused. We’re prepared.Warren Zaïre-Emery, a midfielder for PSG, also said to Canal+, “We could have scored more.” It’s unfortunate, but the score is now 2-0, which is a fantastic outcome, but it’s not over yet. We’ll strive to win the game and get there with the same goals.

Virgil van Dijk, a defender for Liverpool, stated to TNT Sports that “it was tough work, which was what we expected.” We surrounded the box with several bodies to defend. Regretfully, the initial objective is a diversion. Of course, I’m not at all pleased about losing. The fact that we have another game the following week is the sole bright spot.
