Hussaini Lawal, the Labour Party (LP) chairman in Jere South Ward, has made it clear that Nenadi Usman, the party’s acting national chairman, is completely registered in the ward.
According to Lawal, Senator Usman has been the pillar of the party in the ward and the state and is registered with the party from the ward.
According to Naija News, a group of the party led by Julius Abure claimed that Mrs. Usman failed to register as a full member of the party.
Lawal rejected the accusations as vile and politically driven during a press conference held Monday at Fada, Polling Unit 6 in Jere, Kaduna State.
“This press conference was called by me, Mr. Hussaini Lawal, the chairman and executive member of the Labour Party in Jere South ward,” he said.
Ladies and gentlemen of the press, good afternoon. The purpose of today’s news conference is to address and explain false information that has been spreading regarding respected Senator Nenadi Esther Usman’s membership status in our wonderful Labour Party.
“All Nigerians should be aware that Senator Nenadi Esther Usman is a legitimate and fully registered member of the Labour Party in the Jere South ward. With polling unit 006 on Gampada, Kagarko, Jere South ward, her polling units are well-documented.
Any claim or suggestion, otherwise, is false, malicious and politically motivated. We have her membership records and we stand firmly by this fact.
“Senator Nenadi Esther Usman is not just a member. She has been a backbone to the activities of our great party, Labour Party, not in Jere South ward and Kaduna State, but across the nation.
“Her wealth of experience, leadership and contribution to the growth of the Labour Party cannot be overstated. We are immensely proud of her achievement as a former commissioner in Kaduna State, former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Nigeria and a distinguished senator who represented Kaduna South District.”
