Olufemi Onireti, the director of Oyo State’s City Boy Movement, has given medical supplies and equipment to the Esinele community in the state’s Oriire Local Government Area.
The donation was given on Tuesday during a visit to the village to offer condolences and show solidarity in the wake of the recent kidnapping of local teachers and students.
Speaking during the visit, Onireti noted that government authorities were actively working to secure the safe release of the kidnapped teachers and students and expressed optimism that they would soon regain their freedom.
He assured the locals that security agencies’ and pertinent stakeholders’ efforts were having a beneficial impact and advised them to continue being hopeful and praying.
that on Friday, May 15, 2026, at around 9:30 a.m., numerous teachers and students were kidnapped during coordinated attacks on Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota; Community Grammar School; and L.A. Primary School, Esiele, in the local government region.”We have the assurance that the teachers and students will return in peace. The government is working tirelessly to ensure their safe release,” Ireti stated. We are here to support the community at this trying time and to empathize with the residents of Esinele.

He went on to say that the medical supplies would help locals and increase access to basic healthcare services.
Additionally, the director gave N1 million in cash to the family of Michael Oyedokun, one of the teachers impacted by the terrible event.He also offered scholarships to fund the education of Oyedokun Abiodun and Samuel Oyedokun, the late teacher’s kids.
High Chief Tajudeen Abioye, the Elesinele of Esinele, praised the federal and Oyo State governments for their assistance and intervention since the event.
He expressed particular gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde and President Bola Tinubu for their dedication to finding a solution.
The traditional ruler claims that government representatives who paid the community a visit reassured the locals that attempts were being made to secure the release of the kidnapped teachers and students.
However, Abioye urged the authorities to step up and accelerate their efforts to guarantee the victims’ immediate release. “We appreciate the Federal and State Governments standing by us during this difficult time,” he stated.
