“Tinubu Doesn’t Fear Opposition” Chieftain of the APC, Ismaeel Ahmed

Ahead of the 2027 election, Ismaeel Ahmed, the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared that neither the party nor President Bola Tinubu are scared of the opposition.
In an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Ahmed reportedly said that Tinubu and the vice president must visit different states in order to interact with the populace, according to Naija News.

Ahmed went on to warn against viewing political rivals as dangers too soon, emphasizing that the party’s focus should be on government rather than campaign tactics.

“APC is not afraid of any opposition,” he declared. To interact with the populace, the president and vice president must travel across states.

I said, “That’s why—why are we doing all of this? Who is after us? We’re fleeing, but why? For what reason are we reacting to an opposition that does not yet exist?

“I can claim that the President promotes competition because I know him well. It doesn’t make him flee. It doesn’t frighten him at all. There will be time for the party to agitate the base and get us moving in the same direction, and I am aware of that. However, a campaign is not necessary at this moment.

“As a government, we cannot react to criticism. We should just relax, concentrate on governance, and closely examine the President’s actions, in my opinion.
