According to Daily Trust, despite Nigeria’s acceptance of the 2014 Montreal Protocol Against rowdy Passengers, the number of rowdy passenger cases in its aviation industry is rising.
Nigeria, an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) member, accepted the Montreal Protocol 2014 (MP14) in 2019, which aims to stop passengers from acting in a disruptive manner.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) praised the Nigerian government in November 2019 for ratifying the protocol, which was adopted by the ICAO and went into effect on January 1, 2020. Nigeria was the 22nd state to ratify the protocol, which was designed to address unruly behavior on international flights.
