US military threat: Primate Ayodele warns Tinubu that Trump is attempting to profit from Nigeria, so don’t beg him.

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to beg US President Donald Trump regarding the recent military threats against Nigeria over Christian killings.
In a statement, Primate Ayodele urged Tinubu not to put himself at the mercy of the US President but instead focus on urgently tackling Nigeria’s insecurity, warning that failure to do so would negatively affect his chances in the 2027 election. He claimed he had warned of the security issue years ago, but was ignored.
He stated: “Don’t travel to go and beg Trump; he wants to make money. Tinubu shouldn’t be at his mercy; rather, he should go to God and work well on insecurity.”
The prophet suggested that the issue in Nigeria is “beyond genocide” and that Trump is merely using it as an excuse to negotiate for Nigeria’s resources. He stressed that Tinubu and the Nigerian government must address the matter with patience and be careful about the “different options” they will be given, to avoid making the wrong decision. Ayodele dismissed Trump’s concern as not genuine, describing him as an “oppressor” who just wants to “make money.” He insisted that Nigeria can solve its own problems, stating: “It is only Nigeria that can solve its problems; a stranger can’t solve problems for Nigeria.” He concluded that if the US had a genuine mission, they would work with the Nigerian government, and the military threat was “unnecessary.”
