Senator Natasha Akpoti, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District, has claimed that her international passport has been held back.
She alleged that she has been kept from traveling.
The lawmaker made this claim in a live Facebook broadcast on Tuesday morning.
According to her statement: “After finishing the celebration of my second year, I chose to take a week break and my passport is being detained again. The exact same thing took place.”
“I have committed no crime and there is no court order instructing the seizure of my passport and stopping me from traveling.”
“The last time this occurred, the officer responsible informed us that the Senate President Godswill Akpabio ordered them to keep my passport and stop my travel.”
