Esther Okoronkwo has promised to deliver more top notch performances for the Super Falcons at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The AFC Toronto striker was named Woman of the Match in Nigeria’s comfortable 3-0 win over Tunisia.
Okoronkwo was introduced after the break by head coach, Justine Madugu.
The adaptable striker’s sprints and dribbling abilities were a pain on the Tunisian defense.
After gliding past two opponents, the 28-year-old struck the woodwork in the 73rd minute.
However, six minutes prior to halftime, she assisted fellow replacement Chiwendu Ihezuo in scoring the third goal.
CAFonline.com cited her as saying, “It doesn’t matter where I start — what matters is the impact I have on the game.”
