Osinachi Ohale, a defender for the Super Falcons, has emphasized the value of preserving defensive unity as the squad gets ready to play Botswana.
Ohale led a defense that held Tunisia at bay in their opening encounter at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which they won 3-0. Justine Madugu’s team has only given up once in their last three games.
When the Super Falcons meet the Mares on Thursday (today) at the Labri Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, the 31-year-old hopes to put on another disciplined performance.
Ohale told Ademola Victor TV, “It was a good step for us, and we want to keep those high standards, keep the record going forward, and make sure we don’t concede goals.”
The Group B match is set to begin at 8:00 p.m. Nigerian time.
