EPL: Onyeka discloses doubts about Brentford’s future

As reported by DAILY POST, Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka is unsure of his football destination for the upcoming season.

Onyeka was loaned from Brentford to Bundesliga club Augsburg for the 2024/25 season.

This summer, the 27-year-old will rejoin the Bees as part of a deal that does not include a purchase option.

Brentford are yet to name a new head coach following Thomas Frank’s departure for London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Onyeka struggled for regular playing time before leaving Brentford on loan last summer.

The former FC Midtylland player, however, said he will wait for a new manager to be appointed before taking a decision on his future.

“The aim right now is to go back to Brentford. I don’t know who the new coach is. So I have to speak to him to know what is going on. And then, we can take it from there,” Onyeka told Soccernet.
