1,899 recently admitted members have been asked by Mr. Innocent Ohagwa, President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), to adhere to the institute’s ethical principles and maintain professionalism in the performance of their duties. At the Institute’s 53rd induction event, Ohagwa made this statement while congratulating the new members on their accomplishment in becoming members of the professional association for tax administrators.Always abide by the Institute’s norms and regulations. Respect all norms and codes of ethics, and keep advancing the Institute’s reputation and expansion,” he stated. He counseled the entrants to uphold the integrity of the Institute and the taxation profession by abstaining from all professional misconduct.
