Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Benue South Senatorial District (Zone C) PDP stakeholders have reaffirmed their dedication to the party and stated that Zone C is still a PDP stronghold.
This statement was given on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at a caucus meeting of important party stakeholders in Makurdi. Following the meeting, the leaders released a statement reaffirming their shared determination to stick with the PDP and plan for a decisive election win.
PDP is Zone C, and Zone C is PDP. The party will not be abandoned by our people. The stakeholders declared, “We are committed and focused on regaining and maintaining our mandate in 2027.”
The caucus also issued a stern warning to party members fraternizing with coalition movements or other political platforms. “Any PDP member seen attending coalition meetings shall be sanctioned without delay. There is no room for saboteurs,” the communique declared.
Reaffirming the party’s loyalty to its electoral goals, the caucus said: “The PDP in Zone C shall remain faithful and committed to every activity geared towards winning the 2027 elections overwhelmingly.”
With a pledge of unwavering support for Senator Abba Moro’s reelection campaign, the stakeholders placed their weight behind the Senate Minority Leader.
We wholeheartedly support Senator Abba Moro, a seasoned and reliable leader. In 2027, we will bring him back to the Senate. The group also decided to “reaffirm our full support for Ojotu Ojema and his return to the House of Representatives.”
“These are leaders who have never abandoned us,” one of the leaders in attendance said. We owe them our allegiance since they have improved Zone C and given it visibility.
Leaders assured party members and supporters that they would continue to enjoy the benefits of democracy as the gathering came to a close.
An elder in the party declared, “Our people will not be left behind.” “We reassure all of our members and supporters that the PDP is dedicated to providing Zone C and beyond with meaningful development, good governance, and high-quality representation.”
