The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared itself an opposition to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), according to former Minister of Youths and Sports Solomon Dalung.
In an interview with Trust TV’s Daily Politics on Friday, Dalung, an ADC chieftain, made this claim.
“The worst of all, we had the highest number of people joining the party when we had INEC now declaring itself as the main opposition against the ADC,” he stated.
Since INEC is the only organization that has broken the law, it is the opposition party in Nigeria.
It acts carelessly and with impunity because, as a lawyer, I am still unable to articulate the source of INEC’s power and its lack of regret. It continues to act as though it is morally justified in doing so.
Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party was suspended from the party due to a court decision. However, INEC disregarded the court’s order today.
