In Jos, Kaduna, troops seize weapons from an illicit arms factory.

Two suspects were apprehended by Operation ENDURING PEACE troops during a raid on a covert arms manufacturing facility in Gwandanu Village, Langtang North Local Government Area, Plateau State, while they were making sophisticated firearms.

In a statement, Captain Chinonso Polycarp Oteh, Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force, Operation ENDURING PEACE, stated that troops found a sizable cache of weapons and industrial equipment used in the manufacture of illicit weapons during the precise tactical raid.

Along with a variety of manufacturing tools, including two generating sets, a welding machine, a drilling machine, a hand filler, and an extensive technical toolbox, two AK-47 rifles and one G3 rifle were found

The suspected criminals abandoned their motorcycle and fled into the bush when they saw the approaching troops near Ungwar Maruwa. The troops, working with the Forest Guards, pursued the attacker towards the Jaginde Forest axis. However, one of the escaping suspects was apprehended by the troops.

A motorcycle, a sleeping mat, an AK-47 rifle, and one AK-49 rifle were among the items found.
