The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, has received requests for registration from two political associations that share the same acronyms.
The All Democratic Alliance, or ADA, is the full name of the first one, which Chief Akin Ricketts is supporting.
The other ADA, which goes by the full name Advanced Democratic Alliance, is ranked 110th and last on INEC’s list, while the Ricketts-powered ADA is ranked 109th.
Zipporah Pius Miracles serves as the second ADA’s secretary, while Alhaji Ahmadu Suleiman serves as its protem chairman. Their national offices are located in the CBD of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, on the ground floor of the UAC Complex, Plot 273 Samuel Adesujo Ademulegun Street.
In contrast, Suleiman’s ADA is headquartered in Wuse 2, Abuja, at 1 Frandriance Close, Off Oda Crescent, Off Aminu Kano Crescent.
Ahead of the general elections in 2027, no fewer than 110 political groupings have applied to INEC to register as political parties.
