2027: Peter Obi is advised by the presidency to join Atiku in order to avoid 2023 blind followership.

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has been cautioned by President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, not to accept a combined ticket with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in 2027.

Onanuga cautioned that if Obi runs with Atiku in 2027, he won’t receive the same level of heedless support that he did in 2023.

He pointed out that Tinubu will continue to hold the reins of power in 2027, regardless of their variations.

The presidential aide claimed that Tinubu’s accomplishments will speak for him in 2027 while appearing on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Thursday.

He stated: “Peter Obi will not gain the blind support he did in 2023 if he teams up with Atiku in 2027; they want him to be vice president and he wants to be president.”

As a result, in my opinion, they are merely attempting various combinations in the hopes of winning, but the APC will still hold sway in 2027.

“President Tinubu’s accomplishments in office will do the talking.”

The opposition coalition that embraced the African Democratic Congress, or ADC, today includes Obi, Atiku, and a few more up-and-coming Nigerians.

Obi and Atiku have both made references to a 2027 presidential run.
