Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, the former National Publicity Secretary of the now-defunct New Peoples Democratic Party, or nPDP, suggested that both President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, or APC, have effectively ensured that the African Democratic Congress, or ADC, will achieve political power in the 2027 election. He asserted that Atiku’s official move to the ADC will serve as a catalyst, mobilizing massive support from Nigerians determined to remove Tinubu and his administration from office through the democratic process. Eze, who is himself a chieftain of the APC, claimed that Tinubu and his political leaders have made Nigeria a source of global ridicule, and he believes the time has come for Nigerians to experience relief.
Eze stated that with this well-timed, courageous, and bold action, the political contest has officially begun, and the campaign to liberate Nigeria from poor democratic governance and an incompetent government is underway. He expressed confidence that Atiku will bring his extensive network, political savvy, leadership skills, and experience to benefit the new party. Eze concluded that with Atiku now having formally joined the ADC, and with Amaechi lending his track record of success as the two-time Campaign Director General for the Muhammad Buhari Presidential Campaigns in 2015 and 2019, the path is now clear for a new Nigeria. He maintained that Tinubu has facilitated the ascent of the ADC in 2027, given the high level of poverty and the President’s perceived lack of readiness to directly address the country’s security challenges.
Eze, who has not yet joined the ADC, promised that he would soon join other progressive individuals who are on a mission to rescue the nation. He appealed to Rotimi Amaechi, Peter Obi, David Mark, Nasir El-Rufai, and others, as well as all of Atiku’s supporters and those committed to reclaiming and rebuilding Nigeria, to unite their efforts to successfully oust Tinubu from office in 2027. Eze also commended former Adamawa State Governor Jibrilla Bindow, Senator Aisha Binani, Senator Abdullazeez Nyako, Senator Ahmed Barata, Senator Ishaku Abbo, and other notable figures from Adamawa who have unified under the ADC banner. He specifically urged Peter Obi, who was the presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, not to be misled by those advising him to abandon the ADC and contest the 2027 Presidential election under the Labour Party or any other party. He warned that taking such a path would essentially be paving the way for Tinubu to continue his poor governance past 2027.
