Former PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and other coalition members were cautioned by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike on Friday to prepare for a run for office.
Atiku and his alliance will “face us when the time comes,” Wike cautioned.
Additionally, he chastised Atiku for his numerous party defections since 1999. In the FCT’s Gwagwalada district council, the minister gave a speech at the opening of the recently renovated Aguma Palace-Radio Nigeria-New Market Road.
On behalf of President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima ordered the project.
Speaking at the event, Wike said: “In 2023, they said they would support one man whose business has been from 1999 I’m in this party, 2006 in this party, 2014 in this party, 2019 in the other party, now 2025 in another coalition – ‘dem born you born coalition?”
The minister asserted that his administration had altered the narrative and asked President Bola Tinubu to be proud.
“Mr. President, you should be proud of yourself since you have altered the course of events; it makes no difference to those who will never be content.
“You stated you wouldn’t be pleased when God gave you life, but that’s your problem; God took care of his own.
He went on to say, “Since you stated that you wouldn’t be happy, may you never be happy; I’m always happy, so let them be unhappy; they will confront us when the time comes.”
