54,600 bags of rice have been distributed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to ease the hardship that Kano State residents endured during the month of Ramadan. The yearly Ramadan assistance program began with the flag-off ceremony on Saturday at Kano’s Maganda Road.The governor characterized the activity as an annual custom meant to aid the underprivileged during the holy month in a statement signed by his spokeswoman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa. According to him, the intervention would benefit all 44 of the state’s local government units as well as additional chosen recipients.
