The identities of the individuals appointed to the Primary Election Committees for the 2026 Area Council Chairmanship Elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have been made public by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement published on X on Wednesday, APC provided the list, which comprises the chairmen, members, and secretary of the committees for the six area councils.
The announcement states that on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the appointed committee chairmen and secretaries will be sworn in at the APC National Secretariat, which is situated at No. 40, Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja.
The start time of the event is set for 9:00 a.m.
Hon. Shafi’u Duwan will lead the Gwagwalada Area Council committee, while Hon. Yahaya Shehu Maradun will serve as secretary.
Dr. Habibu Ibrahim will be the chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), while Margaret Duru will be the secretary.
While Hon. Afolarin Mayowa Samuel chairs the Abaji Area Council committee and Hon. Abdullahi Maharazu serves as secretary, Hon. Austin Agada will serve as chairman of the Bwari Area Council and Hon. Sanusi Sa’idu Kiru as secretary.
Dr. Akombo Benedict Imoter is in charge of the Kwali Area Council committee, and Hon. Gambo Rimi will be the secretary.
