APC chieftain: “The governments of Rivers, Bayelsa, Plateau, and Kano will join us in two weeks.”

Ijeoma Arodiogbu, the National Vice Chairman (Southeast) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), revealed that over the next two months, governors from the states of Bayelsa, Rivers, Plateau, Kano, and either Abia or Enugu will switch to the party.

While denying reports of an opposition coalition, which he called a publicity stunt, Arodiogbu made the revelation.

He said in a statement that the majority of politicians would rather remain in the APC than join the new opposition alliance.

He said, “We are talking about governors from Bayelsa, Rivers, Plateau, Kano, either Abia or Enugu. In the next two months, you will see them join us officially.

“This idea of forming a so-called opposition coalition is nothing but a media stunt.

“But Nigerians are aligning with a party that is delivering and that is the APC.

“Of course, Bayelsa is in the picture, that’s why I mentioned it.”

Additionally, he alluded to the potential for Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to defect to the APC.

I am unable to provide a definitive response regarding Adeleke, but I am aware that he has taken action.

“Neither the governor of Enugu State nor Abia’s Alex Otti are being ruled out either,” he continued.

The group, which was formed a few months ago and consists of prominent Nigerians, is reportedly considering which political party to join.
