Together with Water.org and the National Association of Microfinance Banks (NAMB), FAST Microfinance Bank, a prominent provider of microcredit and cutting-edge services, has introduced FastWash, a financial product that will provide millions of Nigerians with access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene. The Acting Managing Director of FAST MfB, Mrs. Juliet Odigie, said the bank firmly believes that social impact and financial empowerment must coexist at the financial product’s presentation in Benin, Edo StateShe contends that having access to sanitary facilities, clean water, and good hygiene is essential to sustainable growth and is not only a basic requirement. Through this initiative, FAST MfB is removing the financial barriers that limit access to clean water, proper toilets, and safe hygiene practices. She specifically explained that the FastWash product was “designed to provide affordable financing to households, small businesses, (SMEs), and communities seeking to invest in water and sanitation solutions.The banker went on to explain that FastWash has made it possible for recipients to obtain low-interest loans for water and sanitation facilities, enhance their living conditions, productivity, and health, and promote community development by promoting improved cleanliness. “We are aware that financial goods need to meet actual requirements. Because of this, FastWash is more than just a loan; it’s an investment in hope, health, and dignity,” she continued. Odigie told Water.org that the microlender management was grateful for the relationship, which not only reaffirms FAST MfB’s principles but also shows how effective teamwork can be in bringing about constructive change in Benin City.
