With the opening of a new branch in Ondo City, ACT Sports Di Oyibo, in collaboration with the Torino FC Academy of Italy, has expanded its operations to Ondo State in an effort to find and develop young football potential throughout Nigeria. Pastor Samuel, the founder and director of ACT Sports Di Oyibo Academy, clarified that Coach Michael, a trainer from Ondo who has been instrumental in the academy’s success, had a major impact on the choice to growThe Ondo center will be a hub for finding and training promising football players across the South-West region, Pastor Samuel said, adding that the academy’s expansion plans include new branches in Zamfara, Nasarawa, and Abuja, along with ongoing discussions for additional collaborations nationwide. The academy’s Chief Scout, former international and UEFA license holder Peter Nieketien, oversaw a talent screening session during the inauguration, which identified several promising young players. Mr. Oduwefo Ikechukwu, the academy’s curator, expressed delight at the positive response from the Ondo community, calling the scouting event “peaceful, exciting, and well-attended.In a similar vein, Maria G. Di Blasi, the academy’s secretary and translator, commended the remarkable number of young participants, pointing out that the program will keep them actively involved while providing them with an organized football education and exposure to the world.
