As market capitalization reaches N95 trillion, equity portfolios rise.

As the market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) reached N95 trillion on Monday, equity portfolios saw a jump of almost N613 billion. According to our correspondent, the market started the week on a high note as year-to-date return increased to 45% and key performance indicators gained 65 basis points. While the market waited eagerly for the company’s third quarter 2025 financial results, investor sentiment remained positive.In today’s trading session, the market index, also known as the All-Share Index, grew by 965.63 basis points, or 0.65%, to conclude at a new all-time high of 149,943.27. The market capitalization increased by 0.65%, or N612.90 billion, to reach N95.17 trillion. Market activity was uneven, though, as the total value of all transactions climbed by +60.09% but the total volume of all trades decreased by -14.94%. With 11.99% of the total volume of all trades made in the market, FIDELITYBK topped the activity chart in terms of volume. The next top five were ACCESSCORP (10.28%), CHAMS (4.90%), NB (4.34%), and JAPAULGOLD (3.92%).
