A confrontation is imminent as the expelled Wike-led PDP faction calls an urgent meeting.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is facing a potential new internal conflict as expelled members are planning an emergency meeting at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
This comes shortly after the PDP’s National Elective Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, which saw the expulsion of several members, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and Senator Samuel Anyanwu, along with others loyal to the former Rivers Governor.
A notice, reportedly issued on Monday by the factional National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, called for the emergency meeting barely 48 hours after the expulsions.
The notice, seen by DAILY POST, urged members of the National Executive Council (NEC) and the Board of Trustees (BoT) to attend the meeting scheduled for Tuesday. It emphasized that “attendance is very important as crucial matters will be discussed and addressed.”
