Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), declared that the party is fully prepared to challenge and win the 2027 governorship election in Plateau State against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He made this declaration in Jos during a reception held for new members who defected from the PDP, Labour Party (LP), People’s Redemption Party (PRP), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Nentawe asserted that the increasing number of defectors demonstrates a growing confidence in the APC’s direction and leadership. He explained that the APC has been actively reorganizing its structures, growing its membership, and strengthening cooperation across all levels in Plateau.
According to him, the party is determined not only to secure more legislative seats but also to capture the governorship position. He added that the APC will continue to welcome any new members who are willing to contribute to the party’s success.
Finally, Prof. Nentawe encouraged current party members to maintain focus, unity, and active participation in grassroots mobilization in preparation for the 2027 elections.
