The All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised Nigerians to hold Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, rather than President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, responsible for any misfortune currently affecting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a suggestion made via a statement issued on Wednesday by the party’s Publicity Secretary in Oyo State, Wasiu Olawale Sadare. Sadare stated that Tinubu should be allowed to concentrate on his presidential duties and that Governor Makinde and his colleagues are the ones to blame for the PDP’s challenges, asserting that Makinde has essentially ruined the party. Sadare argued that because Makinde lacks the necessary capacity, experience, and leadership traits for a national party role, he became the final nemesis that consumed the PDP, as evidenced by him being the only PDP governor left in Southern Nigeria and the party having only three or four remaining in the North. Sadare concluded that Makinde is incapable of rescuing the PDP from its current state and questioned the governor’s intentions for the party given that virtually all his colleagues have defected and left it in his care.
