Oyedepo: What I told kidnappers over the phone when our pastor was abducted

Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church has described how a church pastor who had been kidnapped was freed after he had a conversation with the kidnappers.

Speaking during a sermon that was caught on camera, Oyedepo claimed that when the abductors demanded a ransom, he took the phone and gave the clergy a 24-hour deadline to be freed.

“One of our pastors was abducted once,” he stated. When they called, I told them to give me the phone and threatened to kill them if they didn’t release him within a day.

Oyedepo claims that following the discussion, “the place was vibrating” and the victim was freed right away.

In the event that they are kidnapped, he advised members to give his phone number to the abductors.

“Give my number to anyone who chooses you. I won’t be sent if he isn’t cut down. If you find it, you carry the same force,” he remarked.

Oyedepo also related the story of a female churchgoer who was abducted but set free after communicating with the kidnappers.

He continued, “One of our daughters was kidnapped somewhere, and she told them that ‘my father said I’m getting out of here latest by 7 am,’ and the kidnappers started cutting themselves.”
