Baba Malam Wali, a former secretary to the state government, has been declared the chosen candidate for the 2027 governorship by the Yobe State All Progressives Congress (APC) Critical Stakeholders’ Forum.
Following the conclusion of the stakeholders’ meeting on Wednesday in Abuja, Mamman Mohammed, Director-General, Press and Media Affairs, sent a statement to Governor Mai Mala Buni.
The stakeholders characterized Malam Wali as a seasoned technocrat with the necessary credentials, tolerance, and disposition for successful leadership and governance, according to the statement.The forum pointed out that the former SSG is qualified to guarantee the continuation of the state’s development purpose and vision because he has been an active participant in several administrations for many years.
“The party agreed to produce its candidates through the consensus mode of election at its stakeholders’ meeting last week,” the statement continued.
It added that Governor Buni and Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, the forum’s chairman, reiterated the party’s dedication to ongoing discussion with the goal of strengthening party upplnity.
